The wife is an AI character
In My Football Hero your player can message his in-game wife. Her replies are written by an AI model (Claude, made by Anthropic), not by a person. We tell you this:
- at the top of every chat, and next to her name,
- again every 3 hours while you keep chatting (every hour for players who may be under 18),
- whenever you sincerely ask whether she's a real person — she says plainly that she's an AI character.
What happens if you mention suicide or self-harm
- We check each message with word rules (English, Japanese and Korean) before it reaches the AI. If a message matches, the AI isn't asked at all.
- The AI also judges each message. If it decides you may be in danger, its in-character reply is thrown away.
- Either way, the character stops. You see a short message that she's an AI, that what you said matters, and free, confidential crisis lines for your country with your local emergency number. You can call or text them straight from the card.
- If you seem low but not in danger, she stays in character, shows real concern, and we show the same help card under her reply.
- For the next 24 hours she stays gentle — no teasing or flirting — and if it comes up again she steps out of character and points you to help.
- She never describes methods and never encourages self-harm.

We pick the country from your app store account. If we can't read it, we use your device's region, then your language.
Players who may be under 18
We treat you as possibly under 18 if you tell her your real age or school year, if the AI judges that you're a minor, if your device tells us, or (in Japan) if you chose an age band under 20 at checkout. From then on she avoids romance and anything sexual, reminds you about the AI more often (every hour) and suggests taking breaks. Lounges, "last seen" and chat with the other club are switched off on these accounts too.
What we record
When this happens we record only the time, how it was detected (word rules or the AI), the level (concern or crisis), the country and language, and which chat screen it was — never what you wrote. We keep these records for 400 days so that we can report the number of crisis referrals where the law requires it (California, from July 2027). If you delete your account, the record is no longer linked to you. Server logs contain no user ID and no message text.
Who this applies to
Everything on this page applies to accounts outside Korea and to anyone using the game in a language other than Korean — including a US account playing in Korean. The AI wife is a Pro Contract feature, and the app asks for your permission before your first message is sent to Anthropic.
